Armenia selecting internally for 2015

Armenia will take place at Junior Eurovision 2015 in Bulgaria, three cheers! Unfortunately for fans of national finals, they have decided to select their entrant internally this year. Savvy fans may remember the last time they picked internally, in 2007 when they lost to Belarus by only 1 point. Back then they chose already-established kid’s group Arevik to represent them. We wonder what motivated this switch to an internal selection, is it because internal selections yielded good results in JESC 2014 (Italy, Bulgaria, Malta and Russia all scored well with internal selections). Maybe because they already have someone in mind? Or perhaps they’re simply looking to cut costs.

So who could their entrant be? There’s Karen Ohanyan who has entered the national selections in 2012, 2013 and 2014, he has obviously been popular with their JESC team. Many fans are eager for Mery Kocharyan or Yana Hovhannisyan to represent Armenia. Yana especially has many music videos already. Silva Grigoryan is another good name, she has videos with over 1,250,000 views.

We will find out all on July 1st!
